Ben Kortlang
Ben Kortlang brings over 20 years of investment experience in venture capital and growth equity to his role as a G2 founding partner. Previously, Ben was a Partner at Kleiner Perkins’ $1B Green Growth Fund, where he focused on smart grid, big data and renewable energy. A number of portfolio companies Ben has partnered with have been acquired or gone public, including OSIsoft (shares sold to SoftBank and Mitsui), Opower (acquired by Oracle), Silver Spring Networks (SSNI) and Enphase (ENPH), where he is a current board member. At G2, Ben has partnered with Arcadia, ProducePay, Crusoe Energy, Scandit, 1Komma5, and Luminar.
Before joining Kleiner Perkins, Ben co-led Goldman Sachs’ alternative energy investing business, managing its multibillion-dollar portfolio of alternative energy investments. During his eight-year tenure at Goldman, he also led the private equity investing business within Goldman’s special situations group and served as a vice president in Goldman’s investment banking group with a focus on industrials and natural resources. Earlier in his career, Ben was an associate with A.T. Kearney, a global strategy and operations management-consulting firm, and was a business analyst at National Australia Bank, working in strategic planning and macroeconomic forecasting.
Ben holds a B.A. degree in economics and finance from RMIT University, a Bachelor of Commerce and an honors degree in econometrics from the University of Melbourne, and an M.B.A. from the University of Michigan

Brook Porter
With over two decades of experience at the intersection of technology and sustainability, Brook has accumulated deep expertise as an entrepreneur turned investor across the industrial segments of energy, transportation and agriculture. As a founding partner of G2 Venture Partners, he brings a passion for helping entrepreneurs achieve ambitious visions for scale and impact.
Prior to G2, Brook was a Partner at Kleiner Perkins’ $1B Green Growth Fund. He was directly involved with investments in Turo, Proterra, Farmers Edge, Uber, and DJI. At G2 Brook has partnered with portfolio companies Luminar, Trove, Pivot Bio, Lumafield, Waabi, and Antora.
Before joining Kleiner Perkins, Brook co-founded two sustainable transportation companies: Intelligent Energy, a fuel cell technology company and Primafuel, a low-carbon fuels company.
Brook holds a B.S. degree in chemical engineering from the University of California, Berkeley, with an emphasis in environmental technology.

Daniel Oros
With twenty years of investment experience in energy, manufacturing, financial services, and logistics, Dan Oros brings a unique skillset to his role as founding partner at G2VP. Dan has spent his investment career guiding industrial and energy technology companies on their journey from product and sales inflection points to sustainable long-term growth. Dan partners with G2 portfolio companies Fictiv, LightGuide, and SmarterX, Carbon, LinkSquares, and Turvo (acquired by Lineage Logistics).
Previously, Dan led investments at Kleiner Perkins’ $1B Green Growth Fund. He was directly involved with investments in Spruce Finance, Optoro, Redaptive and Gen110 (acquired by Solar Universe).
Before joining Kleiner Perkins, Dan was a vice president at Goldman Sachs in the Special Situations Group and a founding member of its alternative energy investing team, where he eventually led the team’s solar initiatives. As an investor in First Solar and SunEdison, Dan had a front-row seat to the beginning of the US solar energy boom that continues today. Before joining the Special Situations Group, Dan was an FX trader at Goldman Sachs, making markets in the euro and Swiss franc.
Dan holds a B.S. degree with distinction in Management Science and Engineering from Stanford University. An outdoorsman and conservationist, he also serves on the Advisory Council of the Stanford Woods Institute for the Environment and is a former board member of the Ocean Conservancy.

David Mount
David Mount is a founding partner at G2 Venture Partners and a seasoned investor at the forefront of the IoT, energy and industrials markets. David spent his career advancing the ‘Industrial Awakening’ by supporting companies at the intersection of connectivity, advanced processing, and traditional industry. He partners with G2 portfolio companies Seegrid, AiDash, AssetWatch and Relay.
Previously, David was a Partner at Kleiner Perkins’ $1B Green Growth Fund, and also founded and incubated Element Analytics, a high-growth industrial software company. At Kleiner Perkins, Dave was directly involved with investments in OSIsoft (shares sold to SoftBank), ServiceMax (acquired by GE), Opower (acquired by Oracle), SilverSpring Networks (SSNI), UpWind Solutions (acquired by Vestas) and Choose Energy (acquired).
Prior to Kleiner Perkins, David developed his principal investing expertise at Bain Capital Credit, a $20B structured finance unit of Bain Capital. There, David helped manage a traditional energy portfolio, which included exploration, production, refining, field services, and specialty chemicals. His involvement in the firm’s consumer portfolio included investments in multinationals within the food, health, and sustainable business sectors.
David holds a B.A. from Yale University, an M.S. in environment and resources, and an M.B.A. from Stanford University, where he was an Arjay Miller Scholar. In addition to his work at G2, David is an adjunct professor at the Stanford Doerr School of Sustainability.

Zach Barasz
Zach Barasz has thirteen years of investing experience and focuses on the intersection of technology and sustainability in transportation, manufacturing, supply chains, and the consumer economy. Prior to G2, Zach was a Partner at BMW i Ventures, where he was involved in investments in sustainable technology companies impacting the mobility and manufacturing sectors, including Xometry (NASDAQ: XMTR), CelLink, Proterra, Lime, and Bright Machines
Zach partners with G2 portfolio companies Locus Robotics, Motive, MakerSights, and Sheertex.
This is not Zach’s first time working with the G2 Venture Partners team: he previously spent three years at Kleiner Perkins’ Green Growth Fund. Prior to that, he was an Associate at Altamont Capital Partners, a Consultant at The Boston Consulting Group, and worked in strategy at the Wildlife Conservation Society, a leading international environmental conservation organization.
Zach holds a B.S. degree in Economics and a B.A. degree in Political Science from the University of Pennsylvania, and an M.B.A. from Stanford.

Rob Johnson
Rob is a visionary leader and entrepreneur with a strong track record of delivering change by defining and executing strategic plans, recruiting, developing and inspiring high-performance teams, and implementing systemic improvements to deliver on business goals.
Rob joined Vertiv, a Platinum Equity company and spin-off from Emerson, in December 2016 as Chief Executive Officer reporting to the Board of Directors, leading the 20,000-person company through a series of divestitures, acquisitions, and eventually a public offering. Before joining Vertiv, Rob was an Operating Partner at venture capital firm Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers from 2014 to 2016. Earlier in his career, he worked in executive positions at Consolidated Container Corporation, a packaging solutions company and A123 Systems, a leading lithium-ion battery technology company.
In 1989, Rob founded and led Systems Enhancement Corporation, a company that created innovative software and hardware solutions for the data center industry. He sold the company to American Power Conversion (APC) in 1997 at which point he became general manager of APC. After his promotion to CEO, Rob eventually managed the company’s sale to Schneider Electric for $6.1 billion in 2007.
Rob earned a B.S. and an honorary doctorate in engineering management from The Missouri University of Science and Technology. He has served on several boards in the past and is the co-author of “Executing Your Business Transformation,” a guide for companies navigating transformation published in 2010.

Jeannine Sargent
Jeannine is a dynamic leader with over 30 years of experience innovating and building technology companies in emerging markets across multiple industries, geographies, and business cycles.
Her focus is on sustainability, the energy transition, and AI-enabled systems that improve business productivity and human outcomes with thoughtful introduction of new technologies to support the growth of resilient businesses that will have a positive climate-led impact.
Jeannine currently serves on the boards of Synopsys (NASDAQ: SNPS) and Fortive (NYSE: FTV) and is a Trustee of Northeastern University.
Jeannine has scaled private and public companies; and was co-founder and CEO of two companies: Voyan Technology, a communications and advanced process controls software company; and Oerlikon Solar, a thin-film solar cell and module manufacturer.
Previously Jeannine was President at Flex (NASDAQ: FLEX) where she launched the Energy business in 2012 and grew it to $4B in less than 5 years, with customers ranging from start-ups to large-cap industrials including SunPower, SunEdison, Enphase Energy, SolarEdge, SMA, Canadian Solar, ABB, and Schneider Electric. As President of Innovation and New Ventures,, she led 40 global design centers across four continents with 15,0000 engineers serving automotive, consumer, enterprise infrastructure, industrial and medical markets. Customers included category leaders such as Amazon, Microsoft, Google, Facebook, Cisco, Daimler, Ford, GE, Stryker, and Medtronics.
In addition to her board and advisor/investor work, she enjoys mentoring and learning from CEOs and entrepreneurs.
Jeannine holds a BS in Chemical Engineering, magna cum laude, from Northeastern University and has completed executive education programs at MIT, Stanford, Harvard, and Carnegie Mellon Universities.

Anne Fazioli-Khiari
Anne Fazioli-Khiari is Partner and Chief Operating Officer at G2 Venture Partners, overseeing all operational aspects of the firm and fund including fundraising/LP relations, HR/recruiting, fund administration, impact reporting, legal, compliance and marketing.
Anne brings a wealth of experience in finance and operations to her leadership role at G2. She started her finance career at General Electric and Shorebank. She later became an investment banker at JPMorgan, specializing in M&A and financings for public and private companies. While at JPMorgan, she was a member of the Latin America group and later joined the firm’s Equity Private Placement group focused on growth companies in Silicon Valley. Anne was a founding member of JPMorgan’s Cleantech group, giving her firsthand experience with the US solar industry. She later joined BrightSource Energy supporting the company’s fundraising and investor relations efforts. She also held the Vice President of Investor Relations role at Ubiquiti Networks (UBNT).
As an advocate for education and community service, Anne served in the Peace Corps in Panama and more recently on the Portola Valley School District Governing Board.
Anne holds a B.S. in Business Administration from the University of Arizona, an M.A. from Johns Hopkins University’s School of Advanced International Studies, and an M.B.A. from The Wharton School.

Jake Tauscher
As a Partner at G2 Venture Partners, Jake is focused on supporting companies that are disrupting industry, sustainably, by applying technology in novel and innovative ways. Jake partners with G2 portfolio companies Motive, LightGuide Systems, AiDash, LinkSquares, Asset Watch, Relay, Cast AI, VAST Data and Antora.
Prior to joining G2, Jake invested in large industrial companies while at Advent International, working in diverse sectors including water, distribution, manufacturing, and software. Before Advent, Jake worked in the operations group at a manufacturer and consulted with large industrial companies while at Bain and Company, Jake combines this experience from working in industry with a passion for tech and sustainability. He is a self-taught amateur data scientist, with a focus on machine learning, and he has supported start-ups in the software and space sectors.
Jake holds a B.A. in Mathematics from Vanderbilt University and an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School.

Neel Mehta
Neel Mehta is a Partner at G2 Venture Partners where he is focused on finding the next generation of technology companies that will advance our industrial economy into the digital age. Neel partners with G2’s investments in Locus Robotics, Seegrid, Trove, Luminar, and Waabi.
Previously, Neel was an early operator at Zoox — a 1,300 person start-up developing fully autonomous, all-electric vehicles purpose built for urban ride-sharing. During his five year tenure, Neel led Strategy, Go-To-Market, Corporate Development, and FP&A teams. As a senior business leader, he supported two capital raises totaling $700M, spearheaded the decision to launch operations in Las Vegas, and built the business case for Zoox’s long-range electric powertrain strategy. Most recently, Neel served on the core deal team in Zoox’s sale to Amazon, where he played key roles in negotiation, diligence, and integration.
Neel began his career at Morgan Stanley, where he partnered with top Wall Street Autos Analyst, Adam Jonas, on controversial, but successful stock calls including Tesla (TSLA), Ferrari (RACE), Fiat Chrysler (FCAU). Together, they researched disruptive trends in ride-sharing, electrification, and autonomous technology and developed frameworks to help institutional investors understand impending paradigm shifts in mobility. Prior to that, Neel was a Commodity Strategist and Equity Sales & Trading Analyst.
Neel currently sits on the Board of the Silicon Valley Chapter of the American Red Cross where he serves on the Philanthropy Committee and volunteers as a smoke alarm installer.
Neel holds a B.S. in Economics and Public Policy Studies from Duke University where he was a Joel Fleishman Distinguished Scholar. He is also a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charterholder. Neel’s interest in sustainable tech stems from college during which he lived in Duke’s Smart Home — the first live-in, LEED Platinum laboratory on a college campus.

Jasper Platz
Jasper Platz brings over 12 years of founder and operator experience to his role as a Principal at G2 Venture Partners. His startup journey began in the early climate tech years working at Serious Materials, a low-carbon drywall company. In 2009, he co-founded Gen110, a residential solar company, where he worked closely with Sunrun to launch the first zero-down PPA in the US. Gen110 was backed by Kleiner Perkins’ Green Growth fund and sold to SolarUniverse in 2013. Post acquisition, he worked as the VP of Operations at SolarUniverse supporting a national network of installers. In 2014, he co-founded Tally, a credit card management app, overseeing every stage of the software development process. Tally’s innovative automated credit card debt manager continues to help many Americans save money on interest and pay back expensive debt faster. He played a key role in raising over $90M in venture capital from Andreessen Horowitz, Kleiner Perkins, Shasta and Cowboy Ventures. His latest venture was Summon, a developer productivity app, that was backed by NextView, Haystack and Scott Belsky among others.

Phil Garbarini
Phil Garbarini is a Vice President at G2 Venture Partners, where he’s focused on supporting companies building technologies that make industries in the physical world more efficient and resilient.
Previously, Phil advised growth investments and acquisitions across clean energy generation, battery components, and industrial manufacturing firms as part of Monitor Deloitte’s M&A Strategy & Diligence team. He then led investments across workforce training, with a focus on solar and manufacturing jobs, at Renovus Capital Partners. Outside the office, Phil is an avid backcountry skier and angler.
Phil holds a B.S. from Cornell University, where he graduated magna cum laude and started a food delivery company, and his MBA from The Wharton School, where he was an ICM Mosaic Fellow.

Ali Blake
Ali Blake is Director of Investor Relations and Platform at G2 Venture Partners, where she leads LP engagement, firm operations, communications, and marketing. Over six years at G2, she has built and scaled the infrastructure that keeps the firm running, from managing the Industrial Intelligence Network (IIN), to overseeing events, vendor relationships, and partner support. Ali serves as a connective force across the firm’s funds and portfolio, bringing operational precision and strategic judgment to everything from LP communications to front-end technology.

Bennett Brown
Bennett Brown is an Associate at G2 Venture Partners, where he supports entrepreneurs focused on technology-driven solutions that power their businesses forward and support a more sustainable future. Bennett partners with G2 portfolio companies Waabi, Cast AI and Lumafield.
Before joining G2, Bennett analyzed enterprise application software and fintech companies at Innovius Capital. Prior to Innovius, he was a summer analyst at proptech startup PURE Property Management, where he gained operational experience across growth strategy and financial operations.
Bennett holds a B.A. in Philosophy, Politics, and Economics from the University of Pennsylvania, where he graduated summa cum laude. How Zhi Yong
How Zhi Yong is an Analyst at G2 Venture Partners, where he supports companies that disrupt industries sustainably through innovative, technology-driven solutions.
Before joining G2, How Zhi was an Associate Consultant at Bain & Company in San Francisco, focusing on technology private equity due diligences with the Private Equity Group (PEG). Before Bain, he had interned as an Investment Associate at Bridgewater Associates, a macro hedge fund. His background also includes software engineering and product roles at TikTok and Meta.

As an Analyst at G2 Venture Partners, Nicholas Evgenidze supports entrepreneurs who are leveraging technology-driven solutions to build more sustainable industries. His background includes investment analysis in transport electrification, multi-asset class portfolio construction, and academic research applying option theory to model price volatility in consumer markets. Nick partners with G2 portfolio companies VAST Data and Antora.
Nicholas holds a B.A. in Financial Economics and an M.S. in Operations Research and Financial Engineering from Columbia University, where he founded the Sustainable Finance Group, the largest student-led organization on campus for sustainable investing. Away from his desk, he is an avid backcountry skier and a former member of Georgia’s junior national tennis team.

Julia O'Donnell
Julia O’Donnell is an Analyst at G2 Venture Partners, where she works with companies facilitating sustainable industry transformation through innovative, technology-driven solutions.
She previously served as a Summer Investment Analyst at Crestview Partners, focusing on private equity due diligence and financial modeling. She also conducted environmental field research in the Republic of Congo with Harvard’s Davies Lab, gaining experience in ecological data analysis and modeling.
Julia graduated magna cum laude from Harvard University with a B.A. in Integrative Biology and a secondary in Economics. She was elected to Phi Beta Kappa and received the Thomas T. Hoopes Prize for her senior thesis on Congolese forest structure and diversity. During her time at Harvard, she also studied abroad in Kenya. Outside of work, Julia enjoys spending time outdoors, especially golfing, hiking, and skiing.

Ee Jenn Lee
Ee Jenn is an Analyst at G2 Venture Partners, where she works with companies leveraging transformative technologies to build more sustainable, resilient industries.
Prior to joining G2, Ee Jenn was a Summer Analyst on Blackstone’s Tactical Opportunities team, where she supported deal teams across debt and equity transactions. Her experience also spans infrastructure private equity at John Hancock/Manulife and early-stage venture capital at Gobi Partners.
Ee Jenn graduated magna cum laude from Harvard University with an A.B. in Economics and a secondary in Energy & Environment. While at Harvard, she served on the board of the Undergraduate Clean Energy Group, wrote a senior thesis on investment by investor-owned utilities in electricity delivery infrastructure, and studied abroad at Oxford. She enjoys cooking and food writing, reading fiction, and spending time outdoors by bodies of water.
